01

THE NEW INDEX

It started with too many magazines.

3800INDEX began with a physical archive of magazines: stacks of images, advertisements, patterns, colour combinations, and garments that still looked strangely current. The archive was not collected to preserve a decade. It was collected because the good ideas had not finished being useful.

Alongside the archive came years of pattern-making and product development in Portugal. That combination became the method- Berlin for the references and the questions; Portugal for the technical work that turns an idea into something you can actually live in.

Good ideas refuse to stay filed.

PRODUCTION

Why Portugal?

Because making clothes well is not a decorative detail. Portugal has a renowned production culture, and our process is informed by more than seven years of product development with major Portuguese labels.

The result is small-batch precision without turning quality into a luxury. The garments are made in the EU, shipped from the EU, and developed with the kind of attention that makes a hoodie feel less like a basic and more like a decision.

Small-batch precision at scale.

03

THE FLOW

No seasons. No panic.

3800INDEX does not follow seasonal collections. We release drops when the pattern is ready. Sometimes the reference belongs to the 90s. Sometimes it belongs to a decade that has not yet been properly named. The point is not to recreate vintage pieces or chase the next trend cycle.

The point is to build a considered index of wearable references: pieces with enough character to be remembered and enough restraint to be worn a thousand ways.

04

THE PEOPLE

Made for what comes next.

We are for people who like the past but do not want to live there. For the creative who shops intentionally, dresses across the city and nature, and would rather own one good piece than explain twelve mediocre ones.

Nostalgia is not escapism here. It is raw material for the future.
